I've not hit my abs for about 2 years but I think they get worked enough through all my other lifts. I'm not a comp BBer so abs don't matter to me that much tbh but I'm interested to see who actually still trains abs these days?

2x per week working the sides with cable bends from above the head the sides doen the abs not obliques cable or machine crunch

If you’ve not trained them in a while they will cramp first few times

That cramp is horrible mate, I had to keep standing up after I returned to core training when it came one

Felt like a suck/squeeze pull right in the middle

Left the car and walked home in the end lol

3-4 times per week for me. Mostly core work; planks, bird dogs, side planks, hanging dead bugs etc.

Also do cable crunches dogcrapp style, and hanging leg raises.

I didn’t train them for a long time and that led to back injuries. Core work is important when you get very strong to maintain stability under load (squats, deads, rows etc).
