Bertils legacy had a tragic ending for sure but there's a lot of conspiracy theories surrounding judging and racism in the old days.
Most people know that BF was the best at the time but he lost his fucking mind due to not being given the recognition he needed/wanted (mentally).

I don’t think it’s racism as lee Haney won 8 Olympias but he just wasn’t the face for bodybuilding to hot headed like me lol. It really is politics and fitting perfectly it’s a business

Haney looked great and was a bit bigger than BF but he was really just a `poster-boy media spectacle` for the rise of `blacks` within bodybuilding after Arnie. BF always looked better IMO but he wouldn't play along with the politics/media games so the judges knocked him back.
Little Big Men by Alan Klein is an interesting book to read. It's free on google.

Willl check it out bud. yeah but it sucks you need to kiss there ass to go places he had the craziest physique victor richards was the biggest freak then 280-300s in the 80s but felt to big to compete made everyone even Dorian in off-season look small
