MP brands government ‘disgraceful’ for ‘shutting the door to Ukrainian refugees’

The government has been condemned for failing to set up safe and legal routes for Ukrainian refugees.

FFS, Great Britain/UK isn't a hostel for other nationalities to run to whenever they can't handle lives in their own countries! Brexit is ended. We're not part of the EU anymore. Fuck NATO if they can't mediate. How many other closer countries are there to ask for help from between Ukraine and UK ?

Leaving the eu was such a stupid idea brexit has done nothing but worsen the country why anyone voted brexit for then boris the clown to pretend to give nhs a certain amount of money then admitted it was lies to get votes that just tells you right there…

I agree with you about Brexit but the last thing I want to do is start a political debate on here mate
I'm just really fucked off with how the UK seems to still be the dumping ground for EU migrants that want to run away from the problems in their own countries. The Ukraine war is terrible and I feel sorry for Ukranians but I can't believe we've got MPs here suggesting we should start accepting more refugees/migrants now. It's not our war and Ukraine isn't even a member of NATO. It's understandable if Ukranians want to flee and not get killed but the EU is a big place and there's closer countries that they can evacuate to than UK.
This should stay as a EU problem for now and EU countries should be supporting Ukranians wanting to evacuate.
The door to the UK needs to stay shut !
